Off The Edge Guiding Programs
We offer guided biking, trail running, hiking, and snowshoeing tours year around. Following is a list of our popular package programs. We are also happy to put together something tailored especially for you. Please ask our knowledgeable staff.
All of our guides are certified in First Aid and CPR and have extensive experience on the trails of the Sunshine Coast. Each guide has additional guiding certifications.
The first timer: half day
A great introduction to west coast mountain biking. We provide all the equipment necessary to have an amazing first experience.
The tour starts with a professional bike and gear fit. We then spend approx. 30 minutes covering the basics of cycling as well as some off road specific techniques.
The tour then heads into the woods connecting a large network of trails, lakes and old growth trees stands. Trail interpretation is a large part of this tour as guides speak about the local ecology as well as logging and aboriginal history of the area. The tour is fitness and skill inclusive and last up to 4 hours.
Price: $140.00 pp ($120.00 pp for groups of 4 or more). Includes all rental equipment, shuttle to and from Off the Edge, drinks and light snacks.
The stag/ette:
The stag is a perfect day of distraction for the groomsmen or bridesmaids. Fresh air and a little exercise before a long night of festivities.
We take care of everything: bikes, gear, shuttles, you name it. We even set up a post ride tail gate party to revel in your glory.
The stagette is a less testosterone filled version including a picnic lunch and great bonding opportunities.

Price: $140.00 pp ($120.00 pp for groups of 4 or more). Free for the bride or groom! Includes all rental equipment, shuttle to and from Off the Edge, drinks and light snacks.
All Mountain guiding: “Rent a Bro”
Do you want to make the most of short visit by hitting only the premium trails? Our guides have an unsurpassed local knowledge of this elaborate trail system and will link together the ride of a lifetime.
Our guides also make it easy, from loading and unloading the bikes to carrying enough food and tools to support your epic ride.
From four hour rides to five day training sessions, our custom tours have the perfect ride for everyone. Shuttles or pure XC, this trail system has something for everyone.
Price: $60.00 per hour based on 4 riders. $90.00 per hour based on 5 plus riders. Add $30.00 for each additional hour and/or 4 participants.
Family Guiding:
Appropriate bikes and trail systems for ages 10+. Can also split group for “teenage boys”
Price: $500.00 based on a four hour ride with 4 people. Add $120.00 for each additional 4 people.
Trail Running
Do you believe that a good pair of running shoes is all that’s required for a solid workout and a great time? Do you need to make room for tonight’s dinner?
The sunshine coast has an amazing network of trails perfect for trail running. From gently rolling double track, to steep moss that feels like running on a bed of pillows.
We take care of everything, shuttling service, snacks, and even fresh towels for the post run cool down.
Price: $50.00 per our based on 1 to 4 runners; 5 to 9 runners $80.00
Guided Hiking
The sunshine coast has an amazing network of hiking specific trails. Many of these trails lead through old growth tree stands, or even lost homesteads from over a century ago.
Our guides have a fast knowledge of the local history and are sure to educate and entertain during your walk.
Shuttling and snacks are included
Price: $50.00 per hour based on 1 to 4 hikers; 5 to 9 hikers $80.00
Snowshoe tours
This is a fantastic family excursion or an incredibly romantic date, we’ve heard of ladies finding diamonds out there.
Snowshoe tours are a great way to get some amazing views of the Georgia Strait and the Howe sound. Dakota Ridge boasts a world class network of snow shoe trails and a beautiful warming hut.
Hot chocolate and treats are included in this tour.
Price: $50.00 per hour based on 1 to 4 hikers; 5 to 9 hikers $80.00
